BMW is a company, known for its luxurious and astonishing
cars. Many models of BMW have made their mark during their times. Similar is
the case is with the BMW 3 series which was the most popular series of BMW in
90’s. In fact this series took BMW to the next level of success. Among successful
models of BMW 3 series, a hit list model is 323i. This car was available with 2
doors and with manual and automatic gear systems.
This model was launched in market in 1995 and was
manufactured till 1998. It was launched in countries like Indonesia, USA,
CANADA and Malaysia.

available in convertible coupe and sedan body style. It packed a M52B25 engine
with a horse power of 168hp @5500 rpm and 170bhp power. It got to the top speed
of 139mph. It can attain the speed of 60mph in only 8.7 seconds. This made
323i, a car with one of the best acceleration system during its time. Its
engine size was 2494cc and had 4 cylinders. Its engine had 24 valves. 323i had
a 5 speed auto or manual gear box with a rear wheel drive-train. It was
available in petrol fuel type. Looking at the specs of the engine it can be
said that 323i hosted quite a powerful one in its time.
Mileage and Safety
The fuel consumption was 28 mpg or 381 miles per tank. It
had the fuel capacity of 62litres. The CO2 emission of the car was
240g/kg and had a Euro 2 emission standard. Other than that the torque of the
car touched 245 Nm. These features made the 323i an extremely fuel efficient
car while also being environment friendly. It also had ABS breaking system and
98 releases came with air bag feature also. So the safety of 323i was quite
suitable for its passengers.
Body and Dimensions
Talking about the body and dimensions of 323i, its body was
completely covered with steel and had a weight of 1420 kg. It was 4433 mm in
length and 1710 mm wide, while its height was 1366 mm and the wheelbase; 2700 mm.
With these dimensions, it was one of the smartest cars you could ask for.

In the interior of the car it had 5 seats with a smooth leather-made
dashboard. BMW 323i had a luggage capacity of 405 liters and the un-braked
towing weight and the braked towing weight of the car was 670kg and 1675kg
respectively. The rear seat backs, however, did not fold. But the storage area of the car did include a
glove-box and a few pockets.
Though this model is very rare now but if found then its
selling price ranges from $3325-$10,110.
All of this shows us how special the make and
model of the car was. Although it isn’t produced anymore, it surely was one of
BMW’s best works. Some say it was as fast as any other, some say it handled
like no other, but one thing was definitely true: The 323i was a work of art.
